Inquiry Question

 The Reasoning Process
As a result of being in chemistry, I have decided to approach my question in a logical set of steps and have decided to use the Scientific Method for investigating my series of questions.
What Is The Scientific Method?
Step 1. Purpose
Step 2. Research
Step 3. Hypothesis
Step 4. Experiment
Step 5. Data
Step 6. Analysis
Step 7. Concluion

As a part of my learning, I thought of a few questions that I was considering.  I became curious and decided to investigate as a part of my class, I decided to investigate how much chemistry really does go into building materials.  I am interested in becoming an Architect and want to work in the construction industry so I made up a scenario and conducted a thorough investigation on the questions that I have asked.  My question is the following: Currently, you are a construction laborer roofing a 24' x 24' garage.  The development of current and new types of construction materials depends on a working knowledge of chemistry.  What type of roofing materials would you choose, why?  Compare and contrast the chemistry of a variety of residential building materials for product effectiveness and safety.

By using the scientific method for a reasoning process, I took my time analyzing each component of my project.  I did individual research on every topic on this website, analyzed it, applied it, and even collected data on it.  There is not one single process that was excluded from this website in order for you to obtain the best information from me.

You will soon see my research, and as a result, I have created a hypothesis: If the amount of building materials contributes to the price, then the more expensive the building materials, the better they will be because people tend to pay more for a quality product.
