Allergy-friendly components

Allergy-friendly components play a key role in many people's lives.  People tend to have reactions to allergens.  Allergens are a type of antigen that produces an abnormally vigorous response to a substance that would be perceived harmless to the body.  Many people will have a reaction to some type of building components.  As a result, there are many different things that an ordinary building component has that prevents allergies.  A better way to phrase this is sometimes less is more.  There are certain things to avoid when choosing allergy-friendly components.  One of the major things is to avoid toxic paints (ex. paints with lead).  These paints can expose you to certain compounds and materials you're not around every day.  For example, being around lead in low-concentration amounts is okay; however, the body may take it as a precursor to lead poisoning.  The next is to use compressed OSB with little glue.  Another is to use natural earth plasters instead of synthetic materials.  Synthetic materials contribute to an abnormal amount of allergens because it is foreign to the human body.  Venting and air circulation also help with the allergy problems.  Everything involved with being allergy-friendly helps and is essentially all natural and hardly anything synthetic.

Sustainability

Allergy-friendly components are usually very cheap; however, they usually are a little more expensive.  Builder's code requires many allergy-friendly components such as a certain grade of OSB or even a certain grade of paint.  Every decision is equable in price when you add the headache of allergies.  Allergy-friendly components are mere as sustainable as synthetic ones, it's the matter of your allergies that play a key factor in your building.
