Purposes of this website.

Greetings! I am a Junior that is currently studying chemistry.  As a part of my class, I am required to make a website presenting my project and learning throughout the semester.  I am thrilled to share what I have learned with you and I hope you find insight into what really goes behind the chemistry in construction, inspiring the field that I plan to go into.

Welcome!

Welcome to this informative website! You will learn all about the chemistry that goes into building materials from lumber to insulation as well as all of the additional learning that occurred throughout the semester.  This website will give you insight into the science behind all construction components as well as insight into the information that I have learned.

Someday, I hope to find a job within the broad and expansive field of construction, the creation of this website advanced my interest in entering this field as well as my vast knowledge of general construction.  It also gave me insight into what classes I must take to pursue my career as well as what I must do to be involved in this booming industry.  This field was one of my top picks on my career-cruising e-portfolio as well.  It assessed my skills and suggested fields that would best fit my needs.  I know that this is the field for me.  I tried to use my volunteer service hours as a learning tool as well.  It helped me communicate with people and helped me present them ideas, just like I would in the construction industry.  It was very helpful and helped me communicate with people better as well.  I also got to help contribute to my community, which construction would do as well.  For example, every undocumented church and documented blood drive event I did, helped me communicate as well as helped me explain things to people.  It brought me out of my "shell" and helped me contribute to the voice I would need in the construction industry as well as the leadership role it would require.
